Keep on Trollin’
Not sure exactly what i’m going to do with these little guys, but it was pretty fun creating them. Just a work in progress until i find a good use for them.
Here is a pretty fun little project i just finished. Inspired by a radio bit from 98.5 the sports hub in Boston and tweets from fellow twitter personality @radmarchand . 80s Nostalgia + Bruins Hockey = Awesomeness
PERSONAL PROJECT: i’ve always wanted to do a play on a prayer candle, i just could never think of the right way to implement it. one day while cruising hfboards.com in the boston bruins section, I saw some amazing avatars with the spoked b used as halos on some of the bruins players. that was all i needed to see, the idea just seemed to fit perfectly with my prayer candle project.
so, thanks to the creative people on hf boards for the inspiration. i actually started this project before all the White House controversy with Tim Thomas, however as i was finishing it, (post-controversy) it dawned on me to use the american flags and the stars which ended up providing a perfect backdrop to this project.
Happy New Year! Going through the archives today looking for something to post and I found these symbols I created for cocktail menu a while back. They were never used, but I liked them so I kept them around. If you like them, feel free to download them (illustrator eps vector) “on the house” and use them as you wish. Cheers!
Last but certainly not least in our yo gabba gabba typography series is brobee. This is one of my favorite pieces in the series. Must be the power of the uni-brow. Brobee is made from VAG Rounded thin and bold.
Next in the yo gabba gabba typography series is everyone’s favorite robot, Plex. Lots of Myriad brackets & en dashes help bring our automated friend to life.
Next in the typography series of Yo Gabba Gabba, we have Toodee all dressed up in Garamond. My daughter didn’t like the first version of Toodee I showed her, so i reworked it. She still thinks the head is too big! Oh well, you can’t please them all…
Here is a recent website relaunch for USMMA. A little HTML, a little CSS and a very happy client, make for a successful project.
