  6. LETTER FIGHT ROUND 2.In the left corner we have @rorschachdesign. He hails from Edmonton and is known to force letters to become images and if it weren’t for potlucks, he’d have no luck at all.Fighting out of the right corner, we have @r3creative, after his last beatdown, he’s back, and hungry and promises to “a-maze”  you with his lettering skills. Let the fight begin!

From the north we have @Eckstatic slinger of ligatures, beast of the baseline grid. From the south we have @r3creative, a no good kid from the wrong side of the tracks armed with only a mouse and a bad attitude. This is the letter fight of the century as these two “Captains of Cap height” take to the streets. Two designers enter, only one leaves with a guest champ belt for thetypefight.com. You must decide who.

PERSONAL PROJECT: i’ve always wanted to do a play on a prayer candle, i just could never think of the right way to implement it. one day while cruising hfboards.com in the boston bruins section, I saw some amazing avatars with the spoked b used as halos on some of the bruins players. that was all i needed to see, the idea just seemed to fit perfectly with my prayer candle project. so, thanks to the creative people on hf boards for the inspiration. i actually started this project before all the White House controversy with Tim Thomas, however as i was finishing it, (post-controversy) it dawned on me to use the american flags and the stars which ended up providing a perfect backdrop to this project.
